Town Hall Reflects

            

            In reflecting on the presentations, delivered by my classmates, it shows that each of them not only showed their speaking skills also brought to life the issues of slavery. Hayes had Richard Allen and he spoke to us about how he was the founder of the African Methodist Church, which was known for his pioneering efforts in establishing a better community for African Americans. Frederick Douglass, presented by Cam, highlighted for his powerful words and relentless fight against slavery, which made a significant impact as a writer. Alysha's portrayal of Harriet Tubman emphasize her bravery, in leading, countless enslaved people to freedom through the Underground Railroad. Amora's presentation on Harriet Jacobs, shed light on Jacobs' courageous escape from slavery in her powerful narrative to expose the harsh realities of slavery for women. 
    

            Ava's discussion of Frances Ellen Watkins Parker emphasize her contributions as a writer, an abolitionist advocating for the rights of African-Americans in women through her literature. Paige S. talked about Sojourner truth straight as a former slave, who became a prominent advocate for women's rights and racial equality. Lexi's presentation on Lucretia Mott highlighted, her important role in women's rights, movement and her efforts in the abolitionist movement showing her influential voice. Tyler's portrayal of John Quincy Adams, focused on his dedication to anti-slavery efforts in his significant role as a diplomat and sixth President of the United States. Jordan's confident introduction of Aaron burr provided information into burr's complex legacy as a founding father.

            Paige W. Talked about Elizabeth chance's tribulations to women's rights, emphasizing her advocacy and impactful work. DJ talk about Leonard Grimes leader ship in the abolitionist movement in his passionate speeches. Izzy's presentation on Louisa May Alcott showed her contributions, particularly little women and her progressive views on gender equality. Alyson talked as Abby foster a key figure in the fight for women's rights, emphasizing her impactful work in the suffrage movement. Katelyn's discussion of Sarah Purvis emphasize her efforts in education and her dedication to improving the lives of African Americans.

            Kelsey spoke as Abigail Adams, who is known for her advocacy for women's rights and for her husband John Adams. Maliyah spoke to everyone as Susan B Anthony, who showed her relentless advocacy for women's suffrage, is civil rights. Zay presented as Henry Walton Bibb he emphasize his escape from slavery, and his work as an abolitionist in journalist. Jake's confident speech on John Brown showed his approach to ending slavery and his role in the civil role. Justin's introduction of Nat Turner showed his role in the slave rebellion and his impact on the abolitionist movement. Last, Christopher presented as William Lloyd Garrison and his role as a abolitionist and how powerful his role was.
